Poem Inspired By An Alien
‘I have always loved you prodigiously, even before I knew you
I smiled as I dreamed of whom I’d love
Not a vague chimera, but a roaring of dazzling delights
The great universe has winnowed all others away
And my inner vision of you is an ambrosial portrait
Fancy of enchanted realms rarely become a reality
Knowing you I dared the fantasy to sparkling tangible paradise.
One could not ferment such a wonder from cipher
Other dreams could never compare
You enlightened me to the kairos of all magic
You, the sublime essence of all that is bliss
The attunement to the highest of all heavens where Imperfection meets
Perfection and time ends’
